Disaster can strike at anytime. When it does, it is vital to respond quickly, efficiently and effectively.

The worst drought in 36 years has hit Somalia with over a thousand people arriving at camps every day in search of clean water and food. Concern is on the ground and through our emergency response we have helped over 100,000 people through the provision of clean water, food and nutritional care.

A gift of Emergency Food (£62) provides a family with lifesaving food vouchers which can be exchanged in local shops for a monthly ration of food.

And that's not the end of the story. After the emergency, we stay behind to help people rebuild their lives and reduce the impact of future disasters.
